📣 This week, Tiffany Hourie (of MESC’s Learning Services branch) presented at Indspire’s National Gathering for Indigenous Education. Participants of the workshop learned about successful practices and research in leadership quality standards.

Dr. Noella Steinhauer presented on the Alberta Teacher Quality Standards, Leadership Quality Standards, Superintendent Leadership Quality Standards, and nîkânastamâkêwin in the morning of the workshop. In the afternoon, I presented parts of my research I conducted in my MES program which focused on how to measure teachers’ understanding of Indigenous knowledge in the context of TQS 5. It was an eventful sharing and learning experience at the 2018 Indspire Education Conference!

👥 Ermineskin Elementary School held their Remembrance Day ceremony today. Students honoured local veterans by holding photos of them in the grand entry. Classes 3F and 3C also sang Oh Canada in Cree.
